I used to live in natural looking false eyelashes until I actually realised I've got a pretty decent natural eyelashes already. So I only wear them when going out.

Yes, makes me cringe when you watch someone's updated makeup collection video and they've still got mascara sitting there from a year earlier (ewwwwwww) haha I only buy one mascara at a time to get my use out of it. If you look after a mascara I think it could last up to 6 months.

Yes :)
Do you go to CCO's?
No, wish there was one near me :(
Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

Yes :)
Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Girls who wear foundation/concealer on their lips not to conceal them but to 'look sexy', people who wear bright pink blusher (because that looks like a natural flush), people who clump the hell out of their lashes and end up with three very thick large lashes on either eye; I have too many to name.
Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?
I mainly stick to neutrals on the eyes. I sometimes wear a bright lip but to pull that off I wear very minimal make up on the rest of my face.

Birthday Haul!
12:18
It was my birthday yesterday and I turned 20 (I really don't want to grow older) and my lovely boyfriend took me to the Trafford Centre as it is my one day off a week.
So let's start with make up, here's the goodies I got:
I love Chanel foundations, so far I've tried Pro Lumiere, Mat Lumiere, Vital Lumiere Aqua and now Perfection Lumiere (I may do a review of all of them in general as a post) Perfection Lumiere is the newest addition to the Chanel foundation family. It os a semi-matte finish and replaces Pro Lumiere and Mat Lumiere which have now been discontinued.
I don't have access directly to most make up brands where I live, I have to order online for most brands. I've been lusting after Bobbi Brown's creamy concealer kit for ages after reading reviews on blogs here there and everywhere. So when I finally had the chance to get colour matched I snapped it up. This really is an amazing concealer, I was using Benefit's Boiing but this same coverage but not as thick.
Whilst I was in MAC I picked up a few things one of them was the eyeshadow above in 'Naked Lunch' - sorry I couldn't get a good swatch, it's a nude colour with a frost finish.
I was running out of my MAC prep + prime translucent powder which I love it's the best translucent powder I've tried. I also got 'Azalea Blossom' blush ombre from the Daphne Guiness collection. The blush on the left is Topshop's Neon Rose and I love it, I love coral colours and this is perfect for summer!
Lipsticks from left to right (Vegas Volt, Creme Cup, Viva Glam Gaga I)
Did you miss out on Viva Glam Gaga first time around? don't fear! it's in stock at Debenhams for a limited time only so if your into your bubblegum pinks go snap it up.
I love MAC lipsticks, theres such a great colour range and they are very good wearing. My heads in summer at the moment so these colours jumped out at me. Vegas Volt is a beautiful coraly orange, Creme Cup is a nude pink and Viva Glam Gaga is a bright bubblegum pink. Creme Cup is going to be my new daily staple!
A bit of a MAC rant: So as I don't live near a MAC counter I don't have much experience with their staff which everyone seems to rant about. Being fed up of online swatches (I bought restrict lipstick from Gareth Pugh and it looks flipping awful on me) I decided I might just start saving my money and taking trips to a counter instead in another city.
However, the experience I had yesterday wasn't amazing. The first time I went in I can understand (my boyfriend when entering the store said 'she's wearing tonnes of make up' about a sales assistant and I think she heard so she completely ignored me whilst another sales assistant kept pestering me so I quickly told her two things I wanted and went. Later on I went back in in hopes they'd let me browse on my own, in fact they did, all the sales assistants where stood in a circle talking and applying make up on one another as I was stood there saying 'excuse me'. Finally one of them responded and got the things I wanted but the rest where just yapping away whilst there was customers waiting. It must have been 'lets be matching day' as every sales assistmat had a very heavy black smokey eye and a bright purple lip, I'm glad they didn't do my make up.
So enough of ranting, here's the clothes I got:
T-shirt: Topshop, Jumper: Topman
Hat and Slippers: Topshop
Shorts: River Island, Dress: Republic
Oh and I got a little something for Frankie
Matching jackets! haha
Hope your all okay! Check out my lush giveaway if you want, to enter click here
OOTD: Another long day at university

Jumper: Topman

Soooo, this is my first ever OOTd, I wanted to start doing different posts so thought this was a good new one to start with. It's just a casual outfit, I love wearing jumpers at uni, especially in this weather and I prectically live in jeans.

Naked palette 2: review & swatches!
15:12
So, as a lot of you bloggers will indeed know the Naked palette 2 went on sale Friday night for facebook debenhams beauty card fans. After a lot of chaos the palette which was meant to be laubched at 12am was launched at 11pm due to a leak of the webpage. All in all it was a fun night seeing numerous people write on Debenhams page "how do I know if my order is real?" "How do I know if my order went through?" all over an eyeshadow palette! lol oh and #prayforkelly
I received my palette today and I'm so excited to start experimenting with different looks. The colours are amazing! The palette is available on Debenhams website and it will launch instores everywhere 6th Feburary
The set included a lipgloss in the colour 'naked' (how original...) I'm not a huge fan of lipgloss but it's a nice gloss. It has a minty scent but smells like after eights I'm not a huge fan of the tingling feeling it leaves on my lips however the packaging is cute! I love the lid.
The set includes a double ended brush for the lid and the crease, the brush is soft and for once I'll actually be using the brush provided with a palette!
The swatches aren't amazing as I was in a rush (I have a ton of work to do!)
I love the mixtures of shimmers and matte colours!
The colours are described as follows:
One shadow I think I might have a problem with is Chopper, it's a pretty colour but the texture seems like fall-out will be inevitable unless applied lightly.
Did you get Naked 2? ;) (excuse the pun) or did you pass on this palette?
Benefit Feelin Cheeky set: Review and Swatches High beam, Posietint & Benetint
12:17
The Benefit Feelin Cheeky gift set contains small sizes (4ml/0.13fl.oz) of High beam luminescent complexion enhancer, Posietint poppy-pink tinted lip & cheek stain and Benetint rose-tinted lip & cheek stain.
As I said when I did the review of Benefits Tan about Town set I believe these sets are the best way to try out new products rather than shelling out for full-sized products.
The set is a Sephora exclusive and therefore is availble instore and online at Sephore. Being from the UK I bought this set from an American seller on ebay (watch out for fakes though)
High beam is a lovely highlighter! I was put off by highlighters when I bought Nars' Albatross and it made me look like shimmery rather than glowing however this highlighter is perfect! It gives you a natural glow to your cheeks which looks like natural light rather than glittery. I will be purchasing full-size of this product when this sample is finished.
Posietint is such a cute colour! It's a bright milkshake pink (that's what it reminded me of) it's thicker than Benetint and therefore easier to work with both on the cheeks and on the lips. I prefer using it on the cheeks though, when I applied this to the lips one coat wouldn't cover my lips pigmentation and rather than looking poppy-pink my lips looked dark pink, two coats worked perfectly though also a base such as MAC flesh pot could easily work underneath this product to blank out the pigmentation of your lips.
Benetint is a fake-blood red (again this was the colour which first springs to mind) this product really dissappointed me! the consistency is very watery and therefore it's really hard to work with on the lips! it settles into any creases and lines in the lips thus making them appear darker, it's a shame though because I've always shyed away from wearing reds however this tint is a red I'd be happy to wear bar it's poor quality. I tried to use the product on my cheeks however the colour really asn't flattering and it took me a long time to make the product work without being patchy.
So, overall I would re-purchase highbeam and would maybe repurchase posietint as a cheek stain. Benetint really isn't worth the hassle of having to make it work.
Did any of you get any of the Benefit gift sets this holiday period?
Any advise on what Benefit products are worth checking out?
FOTD: MAC Fabulously Festive face kit cool, review & swatches
16:34
GOSH velvet touch primer
Chanel vitalumiere aqua
Benefit Boing concealer
MAC prep + prime translucent powder
Cheeks:
MAC Strada (contour)
MAC mocha blush
Eyes:
MAC Ploof! on the lid
MAC Brun on outer 'V' and crease
MAC Dance in the dark in crease and lower lash line
MAC Quarry to blend out
Lancome Dolly Eyes mascara
Collection 2000 fast stroke liquid eyeliner
Revlon eyebrow pencil in hazel
elf clear mascara (over brows)
Lips:
MAC Emancipation lipglass
So since the Glitter and Ice holiday collection launched I wanted the Fabulously Festive face kit in cool and motherbear got it me for christmas. The reason I wanted this set was because of the value for money you are getting.
Basically all the cosmetic products are full sized, I believe this set was £42 for a set which value is over £78 thats without the value of the make up bag they came in and the brush set.
sooo I'm a sucker for packaging and fell in love with this impractical snow globe packaging, so so pretty!
I'm not a big fan of the bag they came in it's too small for me to use as a make up bag but it is clear so easy to access your cosmetics.
The brushes the set contained are minature versions of the 129, 275 and 266. The brushes may not be standard MAC quality however for the price your paying you can't really complain. I really like the 266 and 275 the bristles are soft the only brush I had an issue with is the bristles on the 129 aren't very soft.
I love the colours in this set and how portable it is as it's a blusher and four eyeshadows in one small palette.
Did you get any of the MAC holiday collection? I had my eye on the mineralized eyeshadows but didn't give into temptation due to it being the christmas period and having to save my pennies!
Hope you all had a good New Year, I've been really busy recently but planning a haul on my birthday this month which should be fun
xxx
